講演タイトル:Management of Network-Constrained Moving Objects
講演概要:
With the development of network, telecommunication and sensor technologies, data stream theories and technologies becomes a hot research direction of database domain, especially in specific applications, e.g., Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Telecommunications, and so on. In ITS, the temporal position series of road network-constrained vehicles can be regarded as network-constrained data streams. Network-constrained data streams are different from the ordinary data stream in 2D Euclidean space, because not only the moving directions but also the distance among moving objects are constrained by the road network. Therefore, the neighboring relations among moving objects should take the underlying road network into consideration. Our research centers on new index structures of network-constrained moving objects for ITS purpose. We proposed Composite Structures for indexing current / forecasting positions and aggregate information for network-constrained moving objects. This speech first reviews the management methods of moving objects and network-constrained moving objects, and then compares the typical index structures in 2D Euclidean space with our proposed ones in non-Euclidean space. At the end of this speech, some research directions and future works in this research domain are given.
