Reliability technique for automobile

Abstract
Automotive electronic control system is connected to more external systems. That leads to more convenience to drivers, but much time and effort are required to ensure the reliability in the development phase. I study the method to localize the signal patterns leading to the failure among the signals handled with ECU in the testing phase. I also study the security and safety analysis technique to overcome cyber attacks through wireless communication interfaces.

Research Theme (Abnormality Cause Estimation)
I study the method to localize the signal patterns leading to the failure among the signals handled with ECU, when a certain failure is first observed in the testing phase. The method based on WPMax-SAT (Weighted Partial Max-SAT) has been developed for the cause estimation. The method can deal with not only quantitative data, but also qualitative data such as control mode.

Abnormality Cause Estimation

Future Work
I’m studying the methodology and computational techniques to assist safety engineers, in consideration of faults, driver’s erroneous operation, cyber attacks, etc.
